Trent 500

ITP has been a risk and revenue sharing partner for the Trent 500 engine since 1998 and is responsible for the manufacturing of the IP compressor casings from the firs to second and third to eighth phases. ITP is also in charge of the complete design, manufacturing and assembly of the low-pressure turbine (LPT): NGVs, discs, casings, seals, TBH (Tail Bearing Housing) and RBS (Rear Bearing Support).

The Trent 500 engine powers the Airbus A340 airplane in its 500 and 600 versions. With a fan diameter of 97,4 in (2,47 m), it produces a thrust of 56,000 lb.
